Information on Data Processing in Connection with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics is used to analyze and evaluate the use of our website and to improve its content and functionality.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that enable an analysis of how visitors use the website. The information collected may include, in particular, information about the use of the website, interactions with website content, technical information about the device and browser used, and approximate location data. Depending on the configuration, Google Analytics may also process online identifiers and other information associated with a user or device.

Google Analytics is only activated if you have given your prior consent to the use of analytics cookies and similar technologies. The legal basis for the processing of personal data following your consent is Art. 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The storage of or access to information on your terminal device is based on Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG), insofar as this provision applies.

You may refuse to give your consent. You may also withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings available on this website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

Data processing by Google

Where Google Analytics is used, Google processes the data on our behalf for the purposes described above. Depending on the configuration and the services used, data may be transferred to and processed by Google entities in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

For transfers of personal data to countries outside the EEA, Google relies on applicable data transfer mechanisms under Chapter V GDPR. Where applicable, this includes the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where required, Google may also rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized safeguards.

Further information on Google’s handling of personal data and its data protection measures can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Data retention

The retention period for data processed by Google Analytics depends on the data retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account. We have configured the applicable retention period in accordance with our business and data protection requirements.

Aggregated or otherwise anonymized information may be retained for longer periods where it can no longer be associated with an identifiable individual.

Withdrawal of consent

You can withdraw or change your consent to the use of Google Analytics at any time via the cookie settings on this website. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics will no longer be used for you, subject to the technical implementation of the consent management system.

You may also prevent the collection of data by adjusting the settings of your web browser. However, browser settings do not replace the consent management options provided on this website.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect forms and other functions on this website against spam, abuse and automated submissions, we use Google reCAPTCHA, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Google reCAPTCHA is used to determine whether an interaction with our website is being performed by a human user or by an automated system. For this purpose, Google may process technical information relating to your device and browser, your IP address, information about your interaction with the website, and other data required for the proper functioning and security of the reCAPTCHA service. The specific information processed depends on the version and technical configuration of reCAPTCHA implemented on this website. Where the use of reCAPTCHA requires the storage of or access to information on your terminal device, this is carried out on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG, unless an exception under Section 25(1) TDDDG applies.

Where the processing of personal data is based on your consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings on this website. Where reCAPTCHA is used solely for the technical protection and security of a specific service or form and no consent is required under the applicable legal provisions, the processing may be based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to protect our website, forms and IT systems against spam, abuse, automated attacks and other forms of misuse. Depending on the technical implementation, data processed by reCAPTCHA may be transferred to Google entities in countries outside the European Economic Area. For such transfers, Google relies on applicable data transfer mechanisms under Chapter V GDPR, including, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Further information on Google’s processing of personal data can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy.
